Lady is a beautiful 4.5-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. We rescued Lady from the pound a few months ago, since entering foster care, she has quickly settled into home life, showing a calm and affectionate nature that makes her an ideal companion.
Lady is a very friendly girl who loves attention, she will happily accept pats from strangers both inside and outside of the home and will lean into their legs for more cuddles. Lady has spent some time with visiting children and has been gentle and calm, showing a loving and protective nature classic of a German Shepherd, she would suit most family dynamics.
Lady is described as the best-behaved dog by her foster family, if they were not moving overseas, they would be keeping her themselves. Lady has integrated to life indoors like a fish to water and spends most of her days relaxing on the couch and will follow her humans around, just happy to be in their company. Lady would love to have someone home often; however, she hasn’t shown any concerns being left on her own.
Lady is very intelligent and responsive to commands, she learns very quickly and often only has to be shown something once or twice before showing her understanding and waiting for a delicious treat. Lady is extremely food motivated (she will eat anything) making her easy to train. Lady’s leash manners have improved significantly during her time in foster care, with slight corrections, she generally walks calmly beside her handler.
Lady is very conflicted when she sees other dogs, she becomes over-aroused and excited to meet them, not being able to say hello causes her to be frustrated and reactive, barking and pulling towards them. Lady has been tested with other dogs and once she calms down, she enjoys interacting and is generally very sweet with them, it’s just her greeting skills and getting over that initial hurdle of hello / learning that she can’t meet every dog that will need continued work.
Lady may be able to live with a large breed male dog in her new home pending a meet and greet, she would also be fine living as the only dog in the home. Regardless, Lady’s new family will need to be committed to working on her reactivity and socialisation long-term.
Lady is very curious and over-stimulated by cats, ideally her new home wouldn’t have cats or other small pocket pets or would have the ability to keep them separate.
Lady loves to play, tug of war is her favourite, and she has been known to ‘de-stuff’ her own soft toys at times, however she never touches anything that doesn’t belong to her. Lady loves food and is always up for doing her part in the household chores and licking your plate clean, her favourite thing on earth is gravy!
Lady would thrive in a home where she can be close to her people, enjoy regular walks, and continue her socialisation journey. She’s adaptable, affectionate, and ready to become a cherished member of a loving family. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion with a playful spirit and a heart of gold, Lady might just be the perfect match for you.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
