Hi, my name is Dorothea. I'm a very scared little lady with a tender heart, still trying to believe that humans can be kind.

Nature
My Foster Mum likes to spend time with me, just trying to get close to me, but when she gets a bit too into my comfort zone, I give her a swat with my paw and a hiss to let her know that she's crossed the line.

I reside in a decked-out hotel called a Caboodle in my foster home's lounge. I’ve got all the comforts I need here, and Foster Mum is letting me socialise with the other kitties in the house. Still, it’s all so new and scary to me that I get frightened and run back in there. I think I have a submissive personality, and I don’t like conflict.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
As I am a timid little wee lass, I would like my fur-ever home to have no loud dogs and no young kids. I'd be okay with a mature household with friendly felines.

Likes / Dislikes
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my dry bickies! I prefer them to wet food, so my Foster Mum spoils me with Royal Canin Calm. I know the shake of the container and I am waiting patiently for them - but really, I am internally excited. And I only drink from the finest water fountains.

I like to lounge in my cat tower - I even like to get on the highest part and pretend I am the Queen of the world. Getting down from there is not graceful, but I don’t care. Who said cats have to be graceful, right?

I like to play with flying string toys and small soft toys. My Foster Mum and I have a game we play: she throws them up to me, and I like to catch them and collect them all. She has to risk her hand to grab them back so we can start over - haha!

I do not like being touched, but I will tolerate you in small doses. I will eat from my Foster Mum's hand, but when she tries funny business - like a little chin pat when I'm eating - I retreat. Eventually I'll go back for the food, and by then she knows: no funny business.

My PURR-fect home would be with someone that understands I may not be a lap cat or a friendly feline wanting your affection. I want somewhere that will make me feel loved by not smothering me - where we can cohabitate and live harmoniously together. I'd love it if my new family had a super confident cat who could show me that loving and trusting humans is okay.
