She greets your return home with an enthusiastic, whole-body wag, then gracefully flops over for a cuddle, often accompanied by a tiny, heart-melting pre-nap yawn. She’s undeniably snuggly, remarkably sensitive, and possesses a slightly obsessive love for soft treats. When we say obsessed, we mean it – denta sticks, liver treats, milk bones… if it’s chewable and not a literal brick, she is absolutely all in.

This charming girl is incredibly kind and affectionate, blossoming into a profoundly loving companion for her human. She’s surprisingly low maintenance, happily settling into her crate with her cozy bed each night, though you might just have to give up on maintaining a perfectly made bed once she’s snuggled in. Jazz is a true social butterfly when it comes to other dogs; the more canine companions, the merrier! She handles being home alone with grace, though you can certainly expect a dramatic, wiggly welcome that will make you feel like the most important person in the world upon your return. Her calm demeanor is beautifully balanced with an eager-to-please nature, making her the perfect mix of chill and cheeky. A true testament to her resilience, Jazz has even mastered the art of stair climbing. Initially hesitant with indoor stairs, her recovery in a two-story house spurred her to explore, and she triumphed, navigating them with confidence.

Like any pup learning the ropes, Jazz has a few delightful quirks she’s still refining. You might find her dramatically flinging a paw your way for attention, as if auditioning for an Oscar. While she’s generally well-behaved, excitement can occasionally lead to a happy jump – though it's a rare occurrence, perhaps one in fifteen times, and she’s actively working on it. Car rides can still be a bit scary for her, but she’s making steady progress, enjoying each slow, window-down adventure.

She’s a lady of standards, for instance, insisting on the utmost privacy for her bathroom breaks, preferring the comfort and familiarity of her own backyard. When it comes to mealtime, she prefers you stay close – just in case you happen to be a secret snack dealer. The doggie door remains a puzzle yet to be fully solved; instead, she’ll launch into a dramatic whine until you open the door for her, only to demand the same service five minutes later. Surprisingly, neighbourhood gossip suggests she’s often spotted sunbathing solo, hinting that perhaps she has worked out the doggie door for her own purposes. Jazz undeniably possesses main character energy.

Her interactions with children are yet to be fully tested, though a brave nine-year-old’s visit is on the horizon, and we’ll report back! Cats, however, are a bit spooky for Jazz; if confronted, she's quick to seek immediate human backup and comfort cuddles.
