About Fletcher
Fletcher can be a bit shy around humans. He likes the food and treats they give him, but otherwise, they're all a bit worrying.
But he loves other cats! All other cats are his friend. He just wants to groom them and play with them, and generally be their buddy. If you're looking for a friend for your cat, he is your cat! He's really playful when he's with the other cats in his foster home. Then you can see how happy he can be.
To be clear, Fletcher is fine to pick up and when you force him to have a cuddle, he will begrudgingly purr. He's never bitten or scratched. He will come and snuggle up to you on the bed, but you sort of know its for the other cats that are there, and not for you. With time and love, we hope Fletcher will realise that humans are actually very nice.
He would love a quiet home, ideally without any scary small humans, and with another cat or cats that he can hang out with. He;s also fine with the dogs in his foster home. A patient human who will spend the time convincing him that they're safe would also be great.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
