Meet Reuben, a 5.5-year-old Spoodle full of charm and heart, ready to find his place in a loving new environment. Weighing in at 10kg, Reuben is the perfect middle ground between a small and medium-sized dog, offering the best of both worlds in terms of companionship, comfort, and energy. With a gentle and affectionate nature, Reuben is eager to bring warmth and companionship to his future family in Mackenzie.
Reuben boasts all the hallmarks of a well-prepared pet: he's vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, and wormed, ensuring that he's healthy and primed for a great life with you. While his experience with cats remains untested, his dog-friendly demeanor is a perfect match for multi-dog households. However, Reuben's preference is for a calm environment, making him best suited to homes with children over the age of 12 ( smell noisy kids make him nervous) And preferably someone home a lot, this is worth mentioning in your *application* . His playful side will thrive in a secure, fenced yard where he can explore safely and enjoy quality playtime.
Reuben has a lot of love to share, and you can rest assured knowing his adoption fee of $895 goes directly towards ensuring he has been given the best care possible. Prepare to meet a loyal and engaging companion who will bring joy to your everyday routines. If you're ready to welcome a new friend into your life, Reuben is excited to meet you and begin an adventure filled with love and unforgettable memories.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
