Meet Gucci,
Gucci is a sweet, bubbly girl who’s ready to strut her stuff right into your heart! With her happy personality and waggy tail, Gucci is the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a celebration.
Gucci is a friendly, people-loving girl who thrives on attention and affection. She’s social, playful, and always up for some fun – whether it's sniffing around the backyard, chasing a toy, or trotting alongside you on a walk. Her exercise needs are pretty easy-going, so she's a great match for both chill households and more active families who like to get out and about.
First-time dog owner? No worries! Gucci is adaptable, easy to love, and fits in just about anywhere – whether you live in a house full of kids or a quieter home with a cosy vibe. She can be a little boisterous when she’s excited (we all have our moments!), but underneath it all is a big heart and a whole lot of love to give.
Ideal Home: Gucci is suitable to live in a townhouse, standalone home or farm/acerage, with a medium to large yard and high, secure fencing.
Family: Gucci is open to meet kids from 8 years and up. Reason for this is simply due to her play style. She may accidently knock smaller kids over.
Gucci is fine to live with people who work full-time hours as she shows no signs of separation anxiety. She is able to spend time on her own without any issues. Gucci would like access to inside the home on occasion to spend time with her new family.
Furry Friends: Gucci is best to be the only dog in the home however she does have moments of social behaviour sprinkled into the mix. Her dog assessment wasn't too bad, she started off unsure, then became very social and playful - however when the other dog got too playful and too much for her, Gucci became avoidant and actively prevented the other dog from playing with her again. With some socialisation training Gucci has the potential to be dog friendly but for now, and while she is settling into a new routine, she is best to be the only dog in the home.
As we cannot test in this environment we are unsure how Gucci would go living with, or meeting, cats and pocket pets - this would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Gucci would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience.
Gucci is still learning her name and she is also learning commands such as: sit. She is food motivated and gentle when taking treats from you too - so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Gucci has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise, play, or walks from 20-60mins a day to keep her happy and healthy. Gucci doesn't show much interest in play with toys. She prefers spending time with her people, going for walks or running on the long line lead.
Gucci walks well on lead, with minimal pulling. She is fine to be walked on either a harness or martingale.
Staff Comments: If you're after a happy face to greet you each day and a furry body to share the lounge (or bed) with, Gucci might just be the girl for you!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
