About Pheonix
Meet Pheoix, a distinguished and handsome older gentleman with a heart full of love. Despite his senior years, Pheoix remains a gentle and affectionate companion who is still very much young at heart. With his regal demeanor, he is the ruler of the house, and he embraces his role with grace and charm.
Pheoix absolutely adores being pampered with gentle pats and affection, but like many cats, he values his independence. He can become a bit overstimulated at times, so he requires an understanding family who will recognize when he needs a little space to recharge. In return, he offers a special kind of companionship that only a seasoned feline like Pheoix can provide.
Though he wears a dignified exterior, Pheoix is a sweet soul beneath it all who cherishes the company of his people while also appreciating his own time. He would thrive in a household with older children who can respect his boundaries and share in the joy of his presence.
If you’re seeking a beloved feline friend and are ready to offer patience, respect, and affection, Pheoix will reward you with an irreplaceable bond and countless moments of joy. Embrace this handsome boy’s unique personality, and he will become a cherished part of your household in no time.
Medical notes
While otherwise healthy, Phoenix does experience semi-regular toileting accidents outside of his litter tray.
Phoenix has had a full blood test to rule out underlying medical issues, and his results came back clear. This means his toileting difficulties are considered behavioural rather than medical. From our observations, Phoenix occasionally seems to be caught by surprise when he needs to pass a stool, and if his litter box is not kept clean, he may choose to toilet in his bedding.
To help manage this, we recommend:
• Providing multiple large litter trays in the home.
• Using soft litter types (such as soy or paper-based litter), which are gentler on his paws and preferred by Phoenix.
• Cleaning trays regularly to ensure a fresh and inviting toileting space.
Phoenix’s accidents do not affect his loving nature or his ability to bring joy and companionship. He deserves a family who will meet him with compassion, patience, and understanding, giving him the chance to enjoy his golden years surrounded by love.
By adopting Phoenix, you will not only be giving a senior cat a second chance—you’ll be showing incredible kindness to a boy who just needs a little extra support to thrive.

If you’re interested in adopting this cat, here’s how it works:
Once we receive your enquiry, your contact details will be passed on to the cat’s foster carer. They will get in touch with you directly to discuss the cat and, if suitable, arrange a meet and greet.
Alternatively, you’re welcome to come along to one of our upcoming Adoption Events where you can meet multiple cats in care. Follow Jacaranda Cat Sanctuary on Facebook to stay up to date with dates and locations.
After meeting, if you’d like to proceed, we’ll guide you through completing our Adoption Application Form and the next steps in the adoption process.
