About Cash
Introducing Cash!
Cash is a Kelpie x born approx 1st July 2024.
Cash was brought into the facility as an microchipped stray and sadly no one came looking for him.
Since being at the facility Cash has won the hearts of staff & volunteers as he demands hugs & kisses at every possible moment. While he does stand on his back feet to try to reach your face for kisses, he's very gentle in doing so. When walking on lead he sticks to your leg like glue and would happily follow you wherever you may go.
Cash tested well with other dogs, however he is more focused on humans. We believe Cash would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have another dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Cash appeared to be scared of cats & tried to avoid them at all costs. We believe he could be suitable to live with cats, if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Cash has shown signs of prey drive with pocket pets, so he will need a home with no small animals like chickens & rabbits.
He still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Cash will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Cash has shown no signs of food aggression towards humans, however he isn't tested with other animals.
Cash has shown very mild signs of separation anxiety when he's in his kennel, however as soon as he's in the exercise yard he's perfectly behaved. He can jump quite high in his kennel, so we are recommending he have 6ft fencing or be on a property where he can follow his owners throughout the day.
Cash's adoption fee is $475 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration.
Cash is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
