About Maverick
Maverick is an exuberant Golden Retriever whose big heart matches his size. This handsome purebred is a bundle of energy who will effortlessly bring joy and companionship to your life. Highly social, Maverick is friendly with children and other dogs, but he needs a mindful owner who can manage his playfulness and watch out for the young ones he might accidentally topple with his goofy antics.
With a solid foundation in obedience training, Maverick knows how to sit, stay, shake paws, and lay down. However, this charming Goldie is still perfecting his etiquette on the lead. He gets positively thrilled when it's time to go for walks, swimming, or a game of fetch, though his enthusiasm might cause a bit of pulling. Using a no-pull harness can make these outings more manageable while he receives additional training.
Maverick's love for the water is limitless and any kind of aquatic adventure will capture his heart. Though recall isn’t exactly his forte, his passion for chasing balls and splashing around will entertain you both endlessly. This food-loving boy never meets a treat he doesn't like, making bones and chew toys a hit. Just remember, he prefers enjoying his meals and high-reward treats in private, especially when in the company of other dogs.
While Maverick is not too fond of baths and nail clippings, he's a trooper about tolerating them, especially when rewarded with treats. Always keen for laughter and cuddles, Maverick is looking for a loving home with an active lifestyle. He requires an engaged family that can dedicate ample time to walks, swims, and cosy snuggle sessions.
Maverick might be a bit selective with feline friends, so a proper introduction will be crucial if a cat is part of the household. Online adoption application.
Rescue administration member will contact Applicant via Email/Phone to organise meet and greet specifics.
Post meet and greet, if successful for adoption Rescue administration member will contact Applicant via Email/Phone with offer of Adoption.
Post adoption handover to successful applicant will commence 14-day adoption trial period. At the end of this trial period Rescue administration member will email the finalised documentation (adoption certificate, vet work certificates and microchip change of ownership form/information for action by applicant).
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
