🌙 Meet Possum – The girl who lives up to her name

Possum is a glorious little mystery wrapped in grey velvet.

Found in a suburban backyard, this animated 5-month-old kitten quickly captured the hearts of the family who discovered her. The young children made her a special box filled with toys, patiently sitting inside the house peering out admiring as she slowly began to explore, play, and show her quirky kitten charm when she thought she was alone.

With her plush grey coat and solid build, the vet suspect Possum may have some British Blue in her genes. Her tail is a little shorter than usual, not due to trauma, as first believed, but simply another unique and beautiful trait that sets her apart.

True to her name, Possum is shy by day and comes to life at night. She’s often found snoozing peacefully on the couch or observing the world around her with the most animated, expressive eyes. Her eyes constantly darting about like the ‘Kit Kat Clock’! It’s hard to describe, but you’ll know exactly what we mean when you meet her.

Possum is still adjusting to the comforts of indoor life. She’s happiest in calm environments and would thrive in a gentle, patient home where she can continue to build trust at her own pace. She’ll eat from your hand whilst she remains is in hiding and curiously watch you from afar, slowly learning that she is safe and loved.

She may not be the kind of cat who runs to greet you at the door, at least not yet, but she will quietly find her way into your heart with patience and time ♥️
