About Timmy
Meet Timmy - The Jolly Bulldog Pirate!
Ahoy there, landlubbers! Set your sights on Timmy, a two-year-young American Bulldog with a heart as grand as the open sea and muscles worthy of any pirate legend! With his striking white coat and a bold tan patch over one eye, Timmy looks every bit the part of a swashbuckling adventurer-he's convinced he's a pirate, and honestly, we don't have the heart to tell him otherwise.
Timmy is a big-hearted boy bursting with energy, joy, and mischief. He loves to shiver his timbers in the backyard, chase treasures (tennis balls), and explore uncharted territories (aka your local dog park). A real sea-faring spirit, he adores social meet-ups with other high-spirited canines, although his enthusiasm can sometimes send smaller or more reserved dogs diving for cover. You see, personal space isn't exactly his strong suit-but it's all in good fun! He means no harm, just hasn't quite mastered the art of subtlety.
Timmy's ideal forever home:
A solo ship, where he can be the only canine captain. Or, if sharing his vessel, a doggy crew member with a similar bouncy, boisterous play style would be a must!
Teenagers or older children who can join him in epic backyard quests and be part of his loyal crew.
A family ready to match his adventurous energy with love, structure, and a good game of fetch.
When the day's adventures are done, Timmy is more than happy to drop anchor and snuggle down with his humans. Despite his larger-than-life personality, he's got a soft side, full of affection, loyalty, and goofy charm.
So, if you're ready to welcome a bulldog with the soul of a pirate, the heart of a hero, and the energy of a cannonball, Timmy's ready to hop aboard your ship and set sail toward a life of love and adventure.
All paws on deck - Timmy's waiting for his forever crew!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
