Hennis is a typical young Kelpie—smart, active, and always up for adventure. He loves nothing more than a good walk and sniff, always taking in the world around him with enthusiasm and curiosity. He eagerly greets other dogs and loves nothing more than playing zoomies and having some rough and tumble fun. While he certainly has lots of energy, he also has an excellent off switch. After a long walk or play session, he will curl up and snooze for hours.

Hennis truly has the sweetest nature and bonds closely with his humans. He loves to be involved in all family activities, never failing to check in with you. At night he loves nothing more than a couch snuggle, often after a preening and grooming session because a boy must always look his best!

Hennis has good recall, is crate trained and travels well in the car. Like many Kelpies, he enjoys and needs regular training—not just to refine his skills, but because he genuinely loves the mental challenge and connection it brings.

Medical notes:

Hennis came to us with an untreated hip fracture and has had a total hip replacement on his right side. This will allow him to live a normal, pain-free life.
