About Yindi
Meet Yindi – The Sweetest Blue Heeler Looking for a Forever Home
Yindi is a 4-year-old Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) cross Saluki, with a heart of gold and a gentle, loving soul.
Sadly, Yindi was essentially “dumped” and has already endured two unsuccessful foster placements, not because of any fault of her own, but simply because we didn’t know her at all.
Now that we know her a little better, here’s what we can tell you:
✅ Adorable and affectionate
✅ Great with people and loves being involved
✅ Wonderful with other dogs ✅ Needs training, especially on the lead
✅ No chickens or cats – she has a strong prey drive
Yindi is looking for a second chance with a loving, committed family who will give her the time, training, and companionship she deserves.
She’ll thrive in a home where she can be included in day-to-day life and feel like part of the team.
If you think you might be the right fit for this gorgeous girl, please reach out — we’d love to set up a meet and greet.

Adoption details
Is there an adoption fee, and what does it include?
Yes, an adoption fee applies. This helps cover the cost of vaccinations, microchipping, desexing, and any veterinary care the animal has received. Your contribution also supports us in continuing to rescue and care for dogs in need. Please refer to the individual dog for fees.
Byron Rescue Dogs takes pride in matching dogs with the right homes. We can advise on the dogs’ suitability as we have the insight gained by our foster carers. In addition, there is a 3 week trial and cooling off period for you and the dog – if things aren’t working out BDR will take the dog back. We don’t want any mistakes for you or the dog.
