About Cash
Meet Cash, a resilient and affectionate 5-year-old Boxer mix whose story will surely tug at your heartstrings. Despite facing challenges early in life, including a slight crook in his muzzle as a result of a previous incident, Cash remains a gentle spirit with a zest for life. His playful demeanor and loving disposition make him a wonderful adventurer in search of his new family.
Since arriving at our open-air shelter, Cash has truly begun to thrive. He enjoys soaking up love and attention, and he eagerly plays with other dogs. Notably, Cash has also shared his living space harmoniously with a cat, showcasing his adaptable and amiable nature. Loyal, loving, and full of Boxer energy, he's eager to build a deep and meaningful bond with those who welcome him into their home.
Cash is enthusiastic and eager to please. Although his energy requires continued training—especially when he's on a lead—his quick learning ability and desire to make his people proud shine through. A secure yard to explore and a heart full of compassion are all he needs to thrive.
If you're ready to offer a deserving dog a second chance, Cash is waiting with open paws to fill your home with warmth and joy.

Adopting a Dog with Byron Dog Rescue
At Byron Dog Rescue, our goal is to find the perfect match between dog and adopter. Every dog in our care is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and kept up-to-date with parasite prevention.
Yes, an adoption fee applies. This helps cover the cost of vaccinations, microchipping, desexing, and any veterinary care the animal has received. Your contribution also supports us in continuing to rescue and care for dogs in need. Please refer to the individual dog for fees.
Byron Rescue Dogs takes pride in matching dogs with the right homes. We can advise on the dogs’ suitability as we have the insight gained by our foster carers. In addition, there is a 3 week trial and cooling off period for you and the dog – if things aren’t working out BDR will take the dog back. We don’t want any mistakes for you or the dog.
The dogs on this page are Byron Rescue Dogs.
🐾 Trial Period
Each adoption comes with a 3-week trial and cooling-off period. If it’s not the right fit, we’ll welcome the dog back—no judgment, no pressure. We want forever homes, not fast fixes.
You can view our current dogs for adoption on our website, as well as private listings for dogs needing homes. It’s also worth checking with your local pound—many beautiful dogs are waiting there, too.
