About Monty
Meet Monty, a delightful little gentleman who's ready to find his new family. Monty is an incredibly cute and loving dog with a gentle spirit. His quiet demeanor makes him a great companion for those who appreciate a serene and harmonious home environment.
Monty is still mastering his leash manners and learning to come when called, but with a patient and understanding owner, he's sure to blossom into a confident pup. He gets along well with other small dogs at the shelter, and although a bit shy around humans, he has shown potential to coexist peacefully with cats, particularly those who don't run away.
Monty's timid nature can sometimes lead to anxiety, so he needs a calm and supportive household where children are over the age of 10. His ideal family will provide the patience and care necessary to help him gain confidence and feel secure in his environment.
Monty's heart is full of potential, just waiting to be unlocked with love and patience. Are you ready to give Monty the chance to thrive as your devoted companion? If so, he's eager to meet you and start a new chapter of happiness.
Medical notes
Monty had a Dental scale and clean
He has mild Carpal Valgus & Pes Varus Bilaterally, it is not showing to be any trouble at the moment but our vet has said to monitor for lameness.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
