About Silk
Introducing Silk, a 3-month-old guinea pig with a heart full of love and a head full of wild, wonderful hair! Born in the shelter and lovingly raised in a foster home alongside her piggy friend, Silk is now ready to find her forever family.
Silk greets the day with delightful little chirps-especially when she hears the familiar rattle of the pellet cup. She's got a refined palate, too. If she could speak instead of squeak, we're certain she'd say, "More lettuce, I say!" Whether it's crunchy cos, soft butter lettuce, or leafy mignonette, she adores them all. Sit on the floor with a piece of lettuce, and she'll happily hop onto your lap to enjoy her treat. However, she's not as enthusiastic about coriander, rocket, or mint - they just aren't her thing!
After each snack, Silk takes the time to groom herself, keeping clean and tidy. Her hair, however, has a mind of its own-sticking out in every direction with an adorable tuft on her head. She wears her "bad hair days" with pride-and somehow manages to look even cuter because of it.
Silk would love to find a forever home where she can continue to enjoy companionship, tasty greens, and gentle affection. She'd thrive with another guinea pig pal and a family who will cherish her silly hair, funny habits, and sweet nature
