About Lily
Alright folks, gather 'round, because the moment you've all been waiting for is finally here 🎉
Remember that captivating face we posted way back, listed as #306?
The one that had our PMs absolutely buzzing, sparking a thousand questions about her heritage, her lineage, even her very DNA?
Well, she's officially out of the pound and ready to charm her way into a forever home.
Meet the absolutely glorious Lily!
A gorgeous little staffy mix with a truly magnificent blue-grey coat that has a certain je ne sais quoi about it. 😉
Now, we don't have Lily's full family tree on file (pound pups rarely come with a detailed ancestry report), but her foster carer has noted she's a little bigger than what some might consider a classic English Staffy, but perhaps not quite as stocky as an American Staffy.
Maybe she's just a quintessential 'Australian Staffy' – perfectly proportioned for maximum snuggle capacity and that distinctive million dollar smile. What do you think? 🤔
One thing is for certain: Lily is super sweet and ridiculously friendly.
She's currently in foster care with children and is an absolute angel – very respectful and gentle.
Her resident Amstaff boy foster brother is a bit of a zoomie-master, but Lily is more of a laid-back zen guru. She gets along famously with him, proving her adaptable nature.
Don't mistake her calm demeanor for a bore, though. Lily loves to play, especially a good old-fashioned game of tug-of-war or some happy rough-and-tumble. But once playtime is over, she's all about the cuddles. This girl is a premier snuggler and will absolutely seize any opportunity to join you on the sofa or, even better, your bed! (Prepare for some serious spooning).
She's a clever cookie too, already mastering basic commands like sit and stay. Interestingly, she's not particularly food or treat-driven – her currency is pure affection and belly rubs.
One of her most endearing (and hilarious) quirks? She's quite the lively dreamer and loves to "talk" in her sleep. Get ready for some interpretive barks and happy little snuffles from the land of doggy dreams.
In true Staffy style, Lily is a total "Velcro dog" and doesn't like to be left alone for long periods. So, a home where someone is around a fair bit, or where she has another calm, canine companion to hang out with, would be her absolute ideal.
She adores her walks and loves a good sniffari session (which pupper doesn't?), but she can get a little over-excited and silly when she sees other dogs while on the lead. This means she'll benefit greatly from continued training and socialisation to help her keep her paws on the ground.
And a note on fences: Lily is a curious cat… or rather, dog!
She's not a true wanderer, but if given the chance, she might just pop over to the other side of the fence for a quick peek, mainly to see if you're there. So, secure fencing is a must for this little explorer.
Ultimately, Lily is a beautiful, calm, and quiet-natured cuddle bug who lives for her humans. Her absolute favourite spot in the entire world? Cuddled right next to you, soaking up all the love. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with that unmistakable sparkle in her eye and a heart of gold, Lily is your girl.
She's been fully vet checked, is microchipped, vaccinated, and up-to-date with all her treatments. Her desexing is booked for next week, so she'll be ready to head off to her forever home very soon!
Her adoption fee is $745, and this gorgeous girl is currently in foster care at Petrie in North Brisbane.
Think Lily has cast her spell on you? If you're ready for a lifetime of loyal cuddles, dream-talking adventures, and an abundance of love, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself, your living situation, and why you believe you're the paw-fect forever home for our special Lily.
