Balto has a few favorite activities that bring him immense joy.
He absolutely loves going for walks and cherishes the time spent with his favorite humans.
Whether it's a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood or an adventurous hike in the great outdoors, Balto is always eager to accompany you.
Additionally, he enjoys playing with his fellow canine companions, making him a great match for families with other dogs.
When it comes to interacting with humans, Balto is a social butterfly. He has a strong desire to be everyone's best friend and is an affectionate boy who thrives on human companionship.
Balto is happiest when he can snuggle up on the couch with you, preferring this cozy spot over his mat. He is a big, smoochy boy who loves to shower his humans with affection.
In terms of obedience and training, Balto is a well-behaved dog who knows how to sit on command. Balto has been practicing to stay on his mat inside too
He walks quite well on a leash, making him a pleasure to take on outings.
His social skills extend to his interactions with other dogs as well. Balto is very good with all other dogs, although his exuberance can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for some.
He has a friendly and happy demeanor, but his enthusiasm for greeting everyone may be intimidating to more reserved dogs. Nevertheless, he plays well with others and enjoys canine companionship.
Balto has a unique preference when it comes to mealtime. He likes his food spread out on the grass rather than eating from a bowl, which adds a touch of fun to his dining experience.
During the day, Balto is quite independent and stays outside, he may give a little husky howl when you leave but otherwise entertains himself without any trouble. He is well-behaved both during the day and at night, having never caused any damage to the yard or inside the house.
Inside the home, Balto has spent a significant amount of time indoors without any accidents. He does like to be where you are but is practicing to stay on his mat.
He is well-behaved and enjoys being your little shadow, following you around and keeping you company.
Balto's love for walking is evident in his easygoing nature on a leash, as he doesn't pull and is a joy to walk with. He generally is happy to leave dogs on walks unless another dog is keen to say hello
When it comes to sleeping arrangements, Balto is content to sleep on the porch during the day and on the couch in the garage at night. His medium coat does shed, but he is happy to be brushed and touched all over without any issues, making grooming a breeze. Balto is also a great traveler and handles car rides well.
He is up-to-date on his vaccinations, has been desexed, and is microchipped, ensuring he is ready for his new home.
The ideal home for Balto is one where he can be a cherished member of the family. He would thrive in a loving environment where he is included in family activities and given plenty of attention.
While Balto can be an only dog, he would also enjoy having a female canine friend of similar size and energy to play with. He needs a bit of space to stretch his legs, and his family should be committed to regular walks and ongoing training to keep him healthy and mentally stimulated. Balto is an amazing boy who is ready to bring joy and companionship to his new family.
Setting him up for success ( Adoption Criteria)
To set him up for success we feel the most suitable home is as follows
A home with a medium to larger size backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who are mature and are respectful of dogs
If there is a dog in residence it must be well socialised and have a love of play as Balto loves to be everyone's playfriend .
A home who will allow him both inside and out
We have not tested him with cats
A home that have the time and dedication to ensure he is walked and well stimulated and kept healthy with daily exercise
