NOTE: You are unable to meet Roxy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Roxy in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I like both friendly female and male dogs. A submissive doggie play/house mate would be great, however I’m not very interactive with other dogs as I prefer to spend my time with my humans. Being an only dog and getting all of your love for myself would suit me just fine.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A family that will love and care for me leading up to and during my twilight years
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Gentle and placid
• I can sit and stay
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I know my basic doggie commands
• I walk well on lead
• I appear housetrained and used to be allowed inside
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended
