About Major STA013081
Meet Major, a charming guy with a gentle presence. While Major may be a bit shy when meeting new people, he is a sweet fellow who warms up slowly once he feels secure. He's searching for a loving home that appreciates his need for patience and understanding.
Major thrives in a quiet, routine home where he can ease into his surroundings without feeling rushed. He will need ample time and space to adjust to a new environment. Providing him with his own serene retreat—a quiet and safe space where he can unwind—will be key to his happiness.
He gets along with friendly feline companions and is even comfortable with feline-friendly canines. Although Major prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, he absolutely adores gentle pats, especially under his chin and behind his ears.
Playtime is one of Major's favorite pastimes! He loves chasing ping pong balls and his beloved catnip-filled mouse around.
From his Foster Home
Major is a beautiful boy who just needs time, patience, and a gentle environment to truly shine. As he gains confidence, he’s sure to become a loving and loyal companion. He would do best in a calm, quiet home with older individuals, as loud noises and young children can be overwhelming for him. He is a very gentle boy who just wants to be pet and loved.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
