About Chai
Meet Chai! Chai, a sweet but cheeky boy definitely has middle child energy. He has been explorative and active from the get-go, always up for a good rough play with his siblings and chasing his toys. Chai will seek out comfort and affection on his own, but will not hesitate to let you know when it’s back to play time! Whilst he has an active nature, Chai will often become more affectionate when he is sleepy and seeking comfort to find that perfect spot for a nap. Chai hasn’t been exposed to other dogs or cats but due to how young and confident he is, we believe he will adapt well! Chai would suit a bigger home environment to explore and keep him active, as well as an attentive human to keep him happy. Chai will need to remain indoors to keep him safe from outside dangers. Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
