About Daisy
A Story of Hope & Resilience from Village Tails – Meet Daisy
Yesterday, we shared the incredible story of survival that brought our brave little Buddy into the Village Tails family. Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to the other half of that miraculous duo, his equally resilient and utterly charming sister: Daisy.
It's been a challenging week at Village Tails, and our hearts have been heavy. But we're determined to shift our focus to the incredible resilience of our dogs and the bright futures ahead for our newly available pups.
As you might remember, we were preparing to rescue a litter of eight tiny cattle cross Chihuahua puppies from the pound. Our transport was on its way, full of hope for these little ones. Devastatingly, before they could even reach us, six of them succumbed to a terrible reaction to the vaccinations they had been given. Our hearts were shattered.
But out of that profound sadness, two brave little survivors made it into the Village last Saturday. And as if their journey wasn't tough enough, the transport vehicle itself was found to be carrying the dreaded parvovirus!
Here's where the story takes an unbelievable turn: Ironically, it seems the very vaccination that claimed their siblings' lives actually protected these two from the parvo onboard! A true miracle, allowing them to battle the odds and arrive with us, happy and healthy, despite everything stacked against them.
So, it is with immense joy and a huge sense of triumph that we introduce you to the other one of these little miracles: the adorable Daisy.
Daisy is estimated to be around 4 months old. While we were told she's a Chihuahua cross Cattle Dog, we don't see much Chihuahua in her sweet face – but she is certainly a compact little girl, currently weighing in at a delightful 7 kilograms - and a lot of that seems to be fluff :-)
Daisy is truly a special girl with a spirit full of adventure and a few delightful quirks:
Daisy's Delights:
Ready to Go: The minute she wakes up, Daisy is READY TO GO! She approaches every day with boundless enthusiasm.
Crate Sleeper: She’s a champion sleeper, snoozing soundly through the nights in her crate.
Always on the Move: Daisy does not like sitting still. She's always on the go, exploring and finding new adventures.
Little Miss Independent: She’s a confident and curious little miss independent, eager to discover the world around her.
Quick Cuddler: While she's busy exploring, she will accept a very quick cuddle before she's off again – short, sweet, and to the point!
Chew Enthusiast: Daisy always needs something to chew, which is perfect for keeping her entertained and her puppy teeth happy.
Friendly Face: She's incredibly friendly to new people, greeting everyone with an enthusiastic wag.
Potty Progress: She tries her very best with toilet training but, like any puppy, still makes a few mistakes.
Food Motivated: Extremely food motivated, Daisy is a dream to train and always eager to learn new tricks for a tasty reward.
Daisy has received her second vaccination and is up-to-date with all her flea and worm treatments. Her adoption fee is $695, which includes her desexing at one of our partner vets when she reaches around six months of age.
Please note, her final vaccination is not included in the adoption fee.
Daisy is currently thriving in her foster home in North Brisbane. If you think your home is the perfect forever haven for this brave little survivor, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life you can offer her.
We can't wait to hear from you.
