Trek is a classic border collie with the floofiest mane of chest fur and tufty ears. Whether he’s scampering like a tap dancer across the floor or lolling his blep of a tongue out the side of his smug mug, be ready to have your heart captured by his adorable antics.

If you’re working in the garden, cooking dinner, or just relaxing, Trek loves to know you are nearby. He loves chasing balls and broomsticks, and herding fluffy-looking dogs or the occasional passing car. When playtime ends, Trek transforms into the ultimate couch companion and lap warmer, burrowing his snout into you for cuddles and belly rubs.

Temperament-wise, he is loving, gentle, obedient, observant and intelligent. Trek learns very fast—you need only tell him the house rules once or twice! At times a little tentative, Trek’s confidence would thrive once his heart knows he has a forever home and partners in life’s adventures. With other dogs, Trek is shy and curious at first, taking time to assess new friendships before showing his playful side.

Well past his adolescent years, Trek has settled into the perfect balance of playful energy and calm companionship. He’s beyond the puppy phase of chewing shoes, toilet training and learning basic manners, making him an ideal choice for families ready to enjoy a well-mannered dog who still has plenty of love and adventure left to give.

Trek would benefit from a physically and mentally active routine that keeps his border collie mind engaged and his body healthy. He will need a consistent hand and would benefit from some training to prevent leash reactivity around other dogs. He would do best in a home with no cats, although he has not been tested with cats.
