About Buddy
🌟 A story of Hope & Resilience from Village Tails! 🌟
It's been a challenging week at Village Tails, and our hearts have been heavy. But we're determined to shift our focus to the incredible resilience of our dogs and the bright futures ahead for our newly available pups.
And next we want to share the astonishing story of survival and introduce you to one very special little boy.
You might remember hearing about a litter of eight tiny cattle cross Chihuahua puppies we were preparing to rescue from the pound. Our transport was on its way, full of hope for these little ones. Devastatingly, before they could even reach us, six of them succumbed to a terrible reaction to the vaccinations they had been given. Our hearts were shattered. 💔
But out of that profound sadness, two brave little survivors made it into the Village last Saturday. And as if their journey wasn't tough enough, the transport vehicle itself was found to be carrying the dreaded parvovirus!
Here's where the story takes an unbelievable turn: Ironically, it seems the very vaccination that claimed their siblings' lives actually protected these two from the parvo onboard! A true miracle, allowing them to battle the odds and arrive with us, happy and healthy, despite everything stacked against them.
So, it is with immense joy and a huge sense of triumph that we introduce you to one of these little miracles: the adorable Buddy! 🌟
Buddy is estimated to be around 4 months old. While we were told he's a Chihuahua cross Cattle Dog, we don't see much Chihuahua in his sweet face – but he is certainly a compact little guy, currently weighing in at a delightful 7 kilograms!
Buddy is truly a special boy with a heart full of love and a few adorable quirks:
🐕 Buddy's Bests:
Loves a good cuddle, especially after he's had a chance to burn off some puppy energy.
Always wants to be close – he'll happily snuggle up right beside you.
Your shadow in the best way possible – he'll follow you everywhere!
Super friendly with new people, ready to make friends.
Car rides? Not his favorite! He might need a little motion sickness help as he can get a bit queasy.
Sleeps soundly through the night in his crate.
Highly food motivated – perfect for training progress.
Almost completely toilet-trained _:almost !
He knows he's cute and isn't afraid to strut his adorable little wiggle!
Buddy has received his second vaccination and is up-to-date with all his flea and worm treatments. His adoption fee is $650, which includes his desexing at one of our partner vets when he reaches around six months of age. Please note, his final vaccination is not included in the adoption fee.
Buddy is currently thriving in his foster home in North Brisbane. If you think your home is the perfect forever haven for this brave little survivor, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the wonderful life you can offer him.
We can't wait to hear from you. ❤️
