About Suki
Hiya I'm Suki. My name means beloved and I am looking for someone to be my beloved. I'm a 1yo petite black and tan kelpie girl with a coat that feels like velvet.
I am a happy, cheeky, inquisitive and loving soul. I've been learning to be braver around new people and environments and hoping my beloved will help me continue to build my braves. When I'm not suffering from the 'fraids, my tail is wagging high in the air as I trot around inspecting and I might even break out in a zoomie.
I didn't like the crate at first but now I know it's a safe place and a good spot to sneak off to for a nap. I am house trained and sleep in my bed all night. I happily run over when my name is called, walk on a loose lead and follow at heal off lead. Walks along the river are my favourite as they are nice and peaceful. I've been getting better at sit, stay and wait but my little butt wriggles off the spot sometimes. I travel well in the car or ute.
I love wrestling, running and playing tug with my doggy pals and I understand when the big dog wants his space. I haven't met any cats. There are chickens here that I'm curious about. I do love a good treat, licky mat or toy to chew on. Foster Dad says I am an excellent office dog, quiet as a mouse and generally napping. I like to have your socks or slippers in my bed. No, not for chewing because they smell like you. Belly scratches and cuddles, YES please!
I've met some little people. I am not a fan, they're too loud and busy for me. A home with another doggy to help show me the way would be great but the dream is having a hooman who wants to hang out with me all the time.
If you've been looking for your beloved in a little package with a wiggly butt, I'd be pawfect for you.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
