About Paqua
Meet Paqua - A Big Personality in a Little Package!
Say hello to Paqua, a sweet and affectionate male tabby with charm to spare! With his gentle nature and loving eyes, Paqua is ready to find his forever home - and he might just be the perfect fit for yours.
Paqua's name is as unique as he is - inspired by the word "Paqua," meaning "water" in some Indigenous North American languages, reflecting his calm, flowing personality and the peaceful joy he brings to any space. Like a babbling brook, he's soothing, sweet, and always a pleasure to be around.
He may be small in size, but don't let that fool you - this little guy has a huge personality! Paqua is playful, confident, and full of heart. Whether he's curled up on your lap for cuddles or exploring a sunny window sill, he's always happy to be near his humans.
Paqua would thrive in almost any kind of home - singles, couples, families, or even someone new to cat ownership. He's social, loving, and adaptable, making him a great match for a wide range of lifestyles.
He may enjoy the company of another friendly cat, as he's curious and companionable, but he'd also be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only.
You'll Love him because he is super affectionate and snuggly, friendly and sociable - loves to be around people. Confident yet calm, abig-hearted boy in a tabby suit
Adaptable to different environments and homes
Paqua is more than just a pet - he's a sweet soul looking for love. Are you ready to meet the little tabby with a heart as big as his name?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
