Meet Baron Marmaluke – a majestic name for a wonderfully silly boy!

Baron Marmaluke (also known as Barry… or Marmy… or Barry Marmy… he answers to all of them) is a teenage ginger fluffball with a truly ridiculous tail and a growing fan club. This medium-haired ranga prince came into SACR’s care from a home with a lot of cats, and he’s taken beautifully to foster life – settling into a gentler, quieter routine and discovering that he really likes being loved.

Though a little shy at first, it doesn’t take long for Barry to start mooshing all over you, especially if you find the magic spot – the butt scratch! One good scratch and he flops, flails, smooshes and purrs, leaning into the attention with all his awkward teenage charm. He’s also a big fan of chin rubs, is starting to enjoy belly rubs, and is gradually mastering the art of “gentle paws” (though it’s a work in progress).

Barry is calm and relaxed around other cats and would happily have a feline friend. He’s also completely unbothered by the resident dog – gave her one look and decided she wasn’t worth fussing about. He’s even content to chill with the kindergartener while she watches her iPad – he’s just that kind of guy.

Whether it’s lazing in a sunny spot or getting adored like the ridiculous ginger baron he is, Barry is ready to bring his quirky, sweet energy to his forever home.

Baron Marmaluke's adoption fee is $120 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.
