Introducing… Barbara Please

Yes, Barbara Please. Because once you’ve met her, that’s exactly how you’ll say it – with a respectful pause and a touch of awe.

Barbara Please is an 11-year-old fluffy blue tortie diva with main character energy and a regal sense of self. Once a scrappy, toothless street cat in dire condition, she was rescued by a kind couple who saw past the matted fur and hollow frame. With love, food (lots of food), and dedication, Barbara has blossomed into her full, fabulous form – gloriously fluffy, radiantly well-fed (we say well nourished – she’s a lady, after all), and living her best plush life.

These days, her coat is so luxurious it should have its own postcode, and her belly... well, it does a bit of a wobble, but we don’t talk about that. She’s beautiful, okay?

Barbara Please is a glorious bundle of contradictions – she’s affectionate and cuddly, but also prone to a theatrical hiss if something displeases her (which you’ll find deeply entertaining). She adores a lap, will purr like an idling motorbike, chat your ear off with strong opinions, and occasionally throw in a growl just to remind you who’s in charge. She is smooshy, sassy, majestic, mildly dramatic – and absolutely perfect.

Barbara wasn’t able to stay with her original rescuers due to a small, nervous dog who couldn’t handle the sheer force of her presence. (In fairness, few can.) So now, she’s looking for a home where she can be adored, pampered, and allowed to fully lean into her Barbara-ness.

My purrfect home is: A quiet home with devoted staff (aka humans) who will admire me, pat me, feed me (on schedule), and maybe let me co-author their memoirs. One cat household, please – I’m the whole show.

Medical Note:
Barbara Please has had a full mouth dental clearance, with only a few tiny incisor teeth remaining. This does not impact her ability to eat – she comfortably enjoys both wet and dry food.

Barbara Please's adoption fee is $50 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.
