About Dexter

Dexter is a sweet boy, he loves cuddles.
He’s very playful and social, although he tends to be more submissive.
On the occasions where he has been around older and bigger dogs he will roll onto his back.
Dexter understands how to sit and wait for his meals.
He knows where his bed is and he uses the pet door to go outside for toileting.
He’s learning to walk on a lead and can be a little fearful in the car.
Dexter hasn’t been around cats but given his gentle temperament, I think he would get on well with a cat brother or sister, once he got used to them.
Great with kids and are being trained not to jump at people.
Crate trained, settled from 10pm till 6am.
Needs a home with a furry friend.

Adoption details
- You contact us to obtain an adoption application and discuss the animal of interest.
Once the application is completed and returned it will be assessed for suitability. We will also ask for rental agreements or rates and photos of your home. Please also include photos of your fencing .
- A meet and greet with the dog and all members of the adopting family and current dogs are arranged where possible.
This usually coincides with a yard check, to ensure the safety and security of the property on which the dog will be kept. - we understand that this is not always possible in interstate adoptions and this will be discussed on your initial contact.
- Payment of the adoption fee is made in one full payment. The dog is then handed over with any belongings, and all relevant paperwork and records. Please note we do have contracts in place that must be signed.
- Once the 14 day 'settling in' period has ended, the change of ownership microchip details are submitted to council and the adoption is officially finalised.
- For interstate adoptions- The adoptor must have a meet and greet with the animal they are adopting. We will not send an animal over without a meet. All transport costs including flights, will need to be paid in full by the adoptor.
- For cats, all adoptions take place at PETstock Tuggerah unless the profile states otherwise.
