About Spensa - 5 Month Old Bull Arab X
Spensa is a 5 month old female Bull Arab cross puppy.
Spensa currently weighs 16 kg, and she will grow into a medium-large sized dog.
Spensa is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves spending time with people. Her favourite thing is to cuddle up next to people and have a snuggle.
Spensa can be a little unsure in new situations because she missed out on some early socialisation. She didn't have the best time before being rescued, and she was bitten by a dog. She can be reactive around other dogs and sometimes resource guards her space, so she needs to be in a home where she is the only dog.
Her foster carer is helping her to become more confident by giving her positive and gradual experiences, while always allowing Spensa to set the pace. As a result, Spensa is already starting to come out of her shell.
She’ll do best with someone gentle and patient to continue helping her build confidence through consistent training and positive interactions.
Spensa has begun basic training, and being a young puppy, she will benefit from continuing this. A key focus area will be learning to walk on a leash and gradually being introduced to busier areas.
She is crate trained and sleeps quietly and calmly in her crate throughout the night. We recommend continuing with crate training in her new home to give her a familiar and safe space.
Being so young, Spensa is still learning toilet training. She is making excellent progress, and this will need to be continued in her new home.
Spensa has had practice being alone at different intervals during the day at her foster home, and she would be okay in a home with full time workers as long as there’s plenty of time to spend with her before and after work. Spensa is best suited to a home with no children or with children aged 8 and over.
Spensa is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. She is available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $800 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
