About Coby
Please meet Coby, a sweet-natured Border Collie with a naturally calmer temperament than the typical super energetic BC. He weighs 20 kilograms and was born on 18 May 2024. He was surrendered to ARK following the death of his elderly male owner.
Coby's foster mum describes him as "a shy, quiet, unassuming dog who's comfortable in his own company".
Although he may be initially reserved, Coby's sweetness shines through once he becomes comfortable in his new surroundings. He will take a little time adjusting to new people and environments, but scratch the surface and you'll find a loyal and loving canine companion.
He's reserved around dogs he doesn't know, but warms up with a gentle introduction. He is untested with cats.
Coby will be most content in a home that appreciates and accommodates his sweet, reserved temperament. He would love to have space and opportunity for exercise and mental stimulation. Having a compatible canine buddy would help bring him out of his shell. Coby's calmer temperament and his early experience as the companion of an older person mean he won't demand the constant activity that many Border Collies require.
If you're looking for a calm and gentle companion who enjoys the simple pleasures of life, Coby could be the perfect addition to your family. A home that offers exercise, space, and understanding of his BC traits will help Coby thrive and reach his full potential.
As always, secure fencing is essential.
