About Thistle
Hi, my name is Thistle, I'm an older gal in her early teens, but don't think this means I'm too old of a lady, I still get my zoomies and can be pretty upbeat 😃
I have been in foster for a few months getting used to being around people and learning how to be myself again!
I love to sleep on a warm fluffy blanket on beds, or the couch, or the closest, but mostly with my human in bed! I do like my space, I love being around people and knowing my families around, but don't need to be patted and picked up all the time, I'm just an old lady that wants to be near you but not on your lap, if your okay with having me around as company but will also respect my bubble when I need my own space that would be the best for me 😊
One small catch with me is that there's a person and a place I hate in this world more than anything, and that's the vets!!!
Sadly my foster family tells me I have to go to the vets a couple times a year and I need a human that is really patient and knows how to hold me when I'm scared and nervous... it's just such a scary place and it makes me nervous... I am happy to be in my crate and go on car rides, but I can smell that place the second I enter it! The humans that take care of me now will have plenty of tips and tricks to tell you how to handle my small mental breakdowns at the vets... I am a picture of calm at home though I promise, my foster family thinks I sleep more than a koala...
I don't know how much longer I have to cuddle up in a warm blanket and eat my snacks, but I would love a family with no other pets that I can always stay inside, I like kids too!! They just need to know that I like my own space is all.
I eat very well even with a few teeth left! I never miss the litter tray as I'm a sophisticated lady of course! I promise I'll be such an easy little friend to follow you around the house! If your interested in meeting me this will have to be arranged before hand as I am currently living in my foster home, but you can meet me at the shelter if your interested in me and want to give me my golden years in a peaceful loving quiet home!
If you want to meet me call the shelter on 07 3631 6800 or email warrashelter@awlq.com.au to organise a time.
Serious inquiries only for a special old lady.
Can't wait to meet you soon! 😃
