Meet Rango, a delightful basset hound and bandog mix who's sure to steal your heart with his wagging tail and charming personality! This eight-year-old senior boy arrived in our care with his dog daughter, Ruby, and even though he can thrive as an only dog, he would love to continue his journey with Ruby by his side.
Despite his years, Rango is playful and full of life. He’s a big baby who absolutely adores his toys and loves to engage in playful antics. This sweet boy is a foodie at heart, finding joy in every delicious treat, especially when given as a reward for his good behavior. Despite his impressive appetite, he is a low-maintenance walker, making strolls around the neighborhood a pleasurable experience for both of you.
Rango's love for human interaction is boundless, and he thrives on cuddles and affectionate moments. Your heart will melt with the warmth and loyalty he offers, and he'll be certain to show his appreciation every step of the way.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the Promising Paws Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
*Same gender adoptions will not be considered. Same sex aggression is something at Promising Paws we will avoid. *
