About Max
Meet Max – A Super affectionate soul!
Max is a 13-year-old sweetheart with a heart full of love and a nature as soft as his gorgeous white fur. For the past 8 years, he was the cherished companion of a devoted owner who showered him with attention and affection. It’s clear just how loved Max was, his gentle, smoochy nature speaks volumes.
In September 2024 Max’s world was turned upside down when his beloved human passed away. The owner’s son moved into the home to care for Max while the estate was settled, but sadly, he was unable to give Max a permanent home due to his own pets and space constraints. With a heavy heart, he made the difficult decision to surrender Max to NLF, knowing that it was his best chance at a new beginning and a loving forever home.
Max is a super affectionate boy who adores head rubs, chin scratches and being close to his humans. He’ll happily greet you with soft meows & purrs and gentle nuzzles, always seeking a loving hand to get pats from. He loves lap time and will show you how content he is with blissful purrs. Don’t let his age fool you as he enjoys getting the zoomies and racing around the NLF rooms as well as chasing balls and the ribbon toys. He also loves the enrichment of the treat ball.
Max offers true companionship; the kind that fills your home with comfort and your heart with peace.
Max hasn’t lived with other animals for the last 8 years and his circumstances before that are unknown, so we believe he would thrive in a quiet home where he can be the only pet and the centre of your world.
If you’re looking for a calm, gentle, playful, affectionate & loving companion to share your life, couch and lap with, Max is the one to complete your home. Let him spend his golden years wrapped in love, just as he deserves and he will give you endless love in return.

Adoption details
You need to be a pretty special cat person to adopt an elderly cat into your home. Not as sprightly as a kitten they still require your attention…even devotion. You’ll need to understand their daily routines and take some time to get to know them. Help them with grooming – a great way to bond- as they often don’t have the energy to do it properly themselves. Older cats are stress averse so be patient, observant and take a little more care of their health needs and you’ll soon have a loving companion.
All our cats have received a full health & wellness check and are ready for their new home.
