Waru's journey began in the most unexpected of places – a remote mine site in the heart of the outback. Against all odds, this tiny adventurer was found bravely exploring the dusty terrain, her bright eyes full of curiosity and her soft meow calling out for connection.

Waru (pronounced wah-roo) is a special name meaning "fire" in the Pitjantjatjara language, chosen to honour her fiery spirit and the red earth where she was discovered. Just like her name, she’s full of spark – cheeky, bold, and endlessly playful.

This sweet girl lights up the room with her presence. She adores human company and can’t help but let out the cutest little meow whenever she hears people nearby. Breakfast and dinner are her favourite times of the day, and she’ll happily remind you when it’s time to eat!

Whether she’s chasing toys or curling up for cuddles after a big play, Waru is ready to bring warmth, fun, and a little bit of wild-hearted adventure to her forever home.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Waru’s foster home has 3 young kids and she gets along well with even the baby, he’s got in a few slobbery kisses. She’s also met the dogs and with slow introductions, she will be fine with living with a cat friendly doggo. She also gets along with cats of all ages

Likes / Dislikes
Waru loves her wet food, especially roast chicken.

She loves chasing her ping pong ball up and down the hallway.

Her only dislikes so far are the vacuum and as she is very new to all this human interaction, she doesn’t love being picked up yet. But pats she loves and will come to your lap for a good snuggle and nap session

My PURR-fect home would be one with another kitty and a person/people who have plenty of time to love on me and play with me. I’m such an easy-going girl, I’d fit in anywhere.
