About Sooty - 18 Month Old Wolfhound X
Sooty – A Gentle Heart Ready to Shine
Sooty is a gorgeous wolfhound x with a soft nature and a big heart. Known for their stunning good looks and easy going temperament, Wolfhounds generally make loyal and loving family pets.
Her current foster carer is home most of the time, and Sooty relishes the constant attention. A work from home situation would be ideal, so she’s never without human company for too long.
She’s toilet trained, well-behaved at home, and happiest in a calm, quiet environment where she can truly relax. Sooty loves her walks and is doing very well on lead, but it’s still a new experience so her family will need to take it slowly while she builds her confidence.
Having been moved around a lot, and through the pound, Sooty has some anxiety which could be an issue with younger children. She is anxious of sudden approaches and waving hands. For this reason, we think older children would be a better match.
Sooty is an affectionate dog who will thrive in a quieter household. Loud, busy homes can be overwhelming, so she’d do best with someone patient and gentle, who can offer a stable routine and lots of love. She is super intelligent, showing interest in learning new things. She picks up commands quickly, and watches body language for clues as to what’s expected.
If you’ve got patience, a gentle home and a kind heart, Sooty might just be the one for you.
Sooty is in foster care in Lake Haven, Central Coast, NSW. She is not available for adoption interstate. The adoption fee is $500. She is desexed, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
