Bilbo

Bilbo is a loving, sweet, handsome, and fun boy who loves to be included however small the adventure. He came to us from the mid-north coast during the floods, but you’d never guess he had a rough start.

He's been great with other dogs at the rescue so could slot into a home with resident dogs who enjoy a robust romp, or would happily lap up all the attention as a solo dog as long as his human(s) give him the attention and affection any good boy should have.

His breed is unknown but he most resembles a handsome kelpie/lab/staffy mix. He should be nearly fully grown and is medium-sized with a medium-length, low-fuss shiny black coat.

Like most young dogs, he’s still a bit of an exuberant goofball who's learning the ropes, so he’ll need some training to help him focus - he responds well to treats and is eager to please so he'll learn quickly enough. He pulls a bit on leash initially out of excitement but settles down.

We image he'd make a great playmate and cuddle-buddy for confident kids too, though he's still a bit too bouncy for tiny littlies.

His keen interest in the cats, rabbits and guinea pigs at the rescue indicates to us he is best off in a home without them...

Overall, Bilbo is a such a happy and sweet fellow who's had less than an ideal upbringing, but is hoping to make up for it by finding a loving home where he is kept warm and safe. He does have a lot of love to give.
