With his gentle nature and love of canine company, Dusty carries the best qualities of his breed — intelligence, loyalty, and a deep affection for his people — but in a more relaxed, sensitive package.

Coming from a very rural background, Dusty is still learning the ropes of the big wide world. Things like city sounds, new environments, and busy parks can be a little overwhelming, but with a patient, loving family by his side, he’s making great progress every day. He’s a classic slow-burner: once you’ve got his trust, you’ve got a best friend for life.

Dusty is a star student! He’s thriving with calm, positive reinforcement training and would flourish in a home that keeps building his confidence through gentle structure and support.

Dusty would thrive in a calm, dog-savvy home with people who understand the needs of a young pup still growing in confidence. He loves being around his humans and will happily follow you from room to room, content to curl up at your feet or potter beside you.

He’d do best with another friendly, confident dog in the home — a furry buddy to show him the ropes, share some playtime, and help him feel secure in new situations. Children over 8 who are respectful and understanding of his quiet nature would also be a great fit.

Dusty is a lovely medium-energy boy. He enjoys a daily walk in a peaceful spot and loves to play with his doggy friends, but he’s just as happy curling up on the couch afterwards for a well-earned rest.

🐶🐱 Suitability to Other Pets
Dusty is very dog social and lights up around other playful pups. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, with gentle introductions and the right temperament match, he may be able to adjust.
