Meet Bran. Bran is a stunning boy with a heart as big as his frame! Like many lovable giants, he can be a bit shy when meeting new people or in new situations, but once he warms up (treats help!), you'll discover the most lovable, devoted companion. The kids in his foster family perfectly describe him as "the BFG in dog form".
This smart boy is fully toilet trained and has had formal training and knows basic commands (sit, drop, wait for meals) and has good recall. At heart, he's a playful youngster who adores fetch, playing with his toys and being your constant companion. Bran loves a good couch nap, but also needs daily exercise, a minimum of 30 minutes per day, preferably more. He is quite strong so a fit and active person will be needed to walk him.
Bran is a large dog, which means he is tall enough to see what's on your kitchen bench - so in theory he could counter-surf if anything interesting was left out.
Bran is great with dogs, although he doesn't always realise his size and loves to chase and romp, so is best suited to medium to large doggy company, not smaller. He is certainly never intentionally rough - he's just a big, active boy with a joyful nature. He's untested with cats but would likely be too full on with small fluffy animals.
Bran thrives on the companionship of his trusted humans and would love nothing more than to be part of a family that appreciates his sweet, goofy nature. He's looking for adopters who can provide the security, guidance and love that will help him reach his full potential. He needs to be indoors at the heart of the home.
Bran's ideal home: experienced with large breeds, older kids as he's a big strong boy, a secure yard, someone around more often than not, and lots of love for a devoted shadow who just happens to be super-sized!
Please note that Bran's coat will need trimming and grooming - please see before and after photos.
MEDICAL NOTES
Bran has had mild allergies in the past including in his ear. A good quality allergen free diet, regular baths and fur trims will minimise the likelihood of this recurring.
Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation.
ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
