Her coat is a mesmerizing shade of blue so deep that it often appears black, adding to her sleek and striking appearance. Shadow embodies all the qualities one could hope for in a loving companion and is eagerly waiting to find her forever family where she can share her boundless affection.
Shadow is a simple girl with a heart brimming with love. Her ideal day is filled with simple pleasures that bring her immense joy. She loves nothing more than chasing a ball across the yard, gnawing contentedly on a cow hoof, and curling up on the sofa for some quality cuddle time. Daily walks are a highlight for Shadow, and she never turns down the opportunity for a spirited game of fetch. At home, she finds happiness in being close to her human companions, whether Shadow is a wonderful companion when it comes to interacting with people. She forms strong bonds once she feels comfortable and secure in her environment. Initially, she may exhibit a bit of shyness, as she is a quiet and gentle girl. With a little patience and understanding, she quickly warms up and reveals her loving, affectionate nature. Shadow has been around school-aged children and does well with them, especially if they are quiet and gentle in their approach, making her a great fit for families with kids that are quiet and calm. She wouldn’t tolerate noisy
This intelligent girl is already house-trained, though she may occasionally benefit from a gentle reminder. Shadow is highly food-motivated, responding eagerly to treats and praise, which makes training a rewarding experience for both her and her human companions. She walks beautifully on a leash with minimal pulling, enjoying the opportunity to observe the world around her, particularly the runners at the park! Her well-mannered and attentive disposition makes her a joy to train and a pleasure to have as a companion
While Shadow is polite when meeting other dogs, she generally prefers to keep their company at a distance. She is a submissive girl and is not particularly playful with other dogs and can become overwhelmed when around very energetic or pushy canine companions. For this reason, Shadow would thrive as the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy the undivided attention and affection of her human family
Shadow is quite content to be left alone for reasonable periods, whether inside or outside the home. She sleeps soundly in her crate at night without any fuss, making her an easy dog to manage for those with a structured routine. Her independence is balanced by her affectionate nature, ensuring she is both a loving companion and a low-maintenance pet.
Shadow has a relaxed attitude towards food. She enjoys a treat and will happily sit for one, but she doesn’t rush her meals. Instead, she grazes throughout the day and shows no signs of food guarding or possessiveness, making mealtime a peaceful affair.
Nighttimes are a breeze with Shadow. She settles happily in her crate and sleeps through the night, allowing her human companions to enjoy some well-deserved rest as well.
Whether it’s a trip to the park or a visit to the vet, Shadow travels well in the car and is a calm and composed passenger, making outings with her a pleasant experience.
To stay happy and healthy, Shadow needs a good daily walk of at least 30 minutes. She loves to chase a ball and will play for as long as you’re willing to throw it. A fenced backyard or regular trips to the park would suit her well, providing her with the opportunity to expend her energy and enjoy the great outdoors.
Shadow is a dream indoors – calm, clean, and well-behaved. She respects her space and hasn’t caused any issues inside the home, making her an ideal companion for those who value a peaceful and orderly living environment. Shadow is in excellent health with no known medical concerns, ensuring she is ready to embark on a long and happy life with her new family.

To set her up for success we feel the most suitable home is as follows
Shadow would do best as the only dog in a home where she can be the center of attention. She would make a fantastic first dog for someone looking for a loyal, gentle, and low-maintenance companion. With a little time and love, Shadow will blossom into your best friend and most devoted sidekick, enriching your life with her unwavering loyalty and affection. Shadow does need a yard where she can play her favourite game of chasing the ball and a home that will allow her to be an inside and outside girl
We have not tested her with cats or pocket pets
