Formerly known as Ballet, Coco Chanel is every bit as fabulous as her name suggests. A sensitive, smart and cheeky young girl, Coco is looking for someone with the time, patience and heart to help her blossom into the confident dog she’s destined to be.

Coco is playful and social—she enjoys her trips to the dog park where she zooms and roughhouses joyfully with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She’s a fast learner and food motivated, and like all puppies, thrives on structure and consistency. Her adoption fee includes two (optional) sessions with a professional trainer to support her continued progress, especially with the puppy foundations she missed early on.

She’s been fostered before with a male Staffy mix and was a respectful, if occasionally enthusiastic, little sister. She reads other dogs well and knows when to back off—though she may need the occasional reminder to give her housemate a break! She’s also been around kids of all ages and is gentle, but can sometimes still be jumpy.

Coco is house-trained, sleeps indoors, travels well in the car, and loves to be part of the action. Like many young dogs, she still has some puppy quirks: she can get overexcited when on lead and mouths her lead, she’s partial to cardboard and the occasional sock, and she’ll need consistent reminders to keep four paws on the floor when greeting people. Although friendly with all dogs at the park, (plays with/shares their balls/toys with no issues), when they've come into her home/space to visit, she still plays well, but, has shown some resource guarding around toys. This has only been witnessed with visiting dogs.

Coco will need a secure yard, clear boundaries, and ongoing guidance—especially around things like bathing and relaxing on her own. She's just had her first successful mobile dog wash--warm water in the hydrobath and an experienced washer did the trick In return, she offers devotion, hilarity, cuddles, and the kind of bond that only comes from growing up together.
