About Pepsi
Hi! I’m Pepsi and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR PEPSI
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/rCVjTfsaenaQStx96
NOTE: You are unable to meet Pepsi until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Pepsi in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie companion is a MUST to keep me company when my family isn't home or a family that is home all the time. I suffer from separation anxiety which results in barking escaping behaviours.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent, no gaps or areas I could wiggle through -I’m known to try!)
• Lots of love and attention
• I am very people orientated however I can sometimes not want to be picked up
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• Being an active breed, I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!
• I like both friendly male and female dogs however I can be full on in play, so another dog with the same energy as me is a must.
• I have a high prey drive so I can't go to a home that already has cats, rabbits/guinea pigs or chickens/ducks as I will chase them
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war – especially with my dog friends.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Exuberant & full of beans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be very bouncy - training should stop this
• I was surrendered as I lived on a large property, and they didn’t have adequate fencing to keep me in - so I really need a very secure yard that doesn't give me the opportunity to escape and go on an adventure by myself.
• I can sometimes initially be shy and try to avoid things going over my head (lead etc). It doesn't take long for me warm up and my excitable & full of life nature to come out.
• As I have not been allowed inside before I am not housetrained yet
