About Sandi
We would love to introduce you to our stunning and delightful girl, Sandy. This remarkable canine is truly a treasure of a labrador x weighing in at just 4 years of age , embodying all the qualities one could hope for in a family pet. Sandy is an ideal choice for those welcoming a dog into their home for the first time, as she possesses a wonderfully gentle and calm demeanor that makes her an absolute joy to be around. Sandy is a laid-back and sociable companion who gets along splendidly with humans, children, and other dogs alike.
Her favorite pastimes include indulging in treats and embarking on outdoor adventures, whether itâs a leisurely walk or a spirited play session. She particularly enjoys chasing after balls and spending quality time with her favorite humans, often losing herself in hours of fun with her beloved chew toys.
When it comes to interacting with people, Sandy has consistently demonstrated a lovely temperament around both children and adults. She thrives in the company of humans and relishes the opportunity to be part of a loving family environment.
In terms of obedience and training, Sandy is quite adept. She walks well on a leash, though she may occasionally pull if something particularly intriguing catches her attention. She is familiar with basic commands such as âsitâ and âstay,â making her a well-behaved and manageable companion.
Sandyâs social skills extend to her interactions with other dogs. She enjoys their company and is notably patient, even when faced with an overly enthusiastic puppy. However, she is also content with her own company, making her a suitable candidate for being the only dog in a household.
Sandy is quite independent and is perfectly comfortable staying home alone if necessary. She does not exhibit any signs of excessive barking and is content to relax in a sunny spot, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Regarding her diet, Sandy is currently thriving on a high-quality dry kibble. She is quite the little foodie and is always eager to sample any treats offered to her, with her favorites being cow hooves and pig ears.
In terms of hygiene, Sandy is fully toilet trained and enjoyed her first bath upon entering our care. She has a medium-length coat that is easy to maintain, adding to her appeal as a low-maintenance pet.
Sandy sleeps soundly through the night in her own bed in the lounge room, ensuring she is well-rested and ready for a new day of adventures.
While she travels well in the car, it is worth noting that she does experience some car sickness, which is something to be mindful of during longer journeys.
Her exercise routine includes morning playtime in the yard and a 25-30 minute walk in the evening. Sandy thoroughly enjoys these outings, especially when she has the opportunity to engage in a âsniffari,â exploring her surroundings with her keen sense of smell. Inside the home,
Sandy is exceptionally well-behaved and polite. She has not shown any tendencies toward destructive behavior, making her a delightful and trustworthy housemate.
Medically, Sandy is in excellent health. She has been desexed, microchipped, and vaccinated, ensuring she is ready for her forever home.
Sandy is a versatile and adaptable girl who would fit seamlessly into most households. She is wonderful with children, provided they are dog-savvy, and her gentle nature makes her a perfect companion for families.
Sandy loves to chase her ball and engage in playful zoomies, so a yard would be ideal for her. While she is content being the only dog, she would also do well with a calm male canine companion. However, her interactions with cats or other animals have not been tested.
In summary, Sandy is a truly exceptional dog who would make a fantastic addition to any loving home. Her gentle nature, sociable personality, and well-mannered behavior make her a perfect match for families looking for a loyal and affectionate furry friend
Setting her up for success ( Adoption Criteria)
To set her up for success we feel the most suitable home is as follows
A home with a nice size yard for playing and toileting
A home that will allow her to be an inside outside girl
A home with no other dog please as we feel she is best suited as an only dog as she is neutral with others
We have not tested her with cats
A home with children would be fine but we would only be seeking dog savvy mature aged
