ToeKing6000 needs a foster carer
About ToeKing6000
ToeKing arrived a couple months ago with a severely infected case of stringfoot - where debris from the streets got stuck around his feet and constricted them, cutting deep into the flesh and creating open wounds.
ToeKing has demonstrated significant trust with us, tolerating a cuddle, being very polite whilst we fiddled with his feet despite it hurting and being a very clean guest. And now ToeKing is looking for a new throne within a lucky someone’s home. ToeKing would be happy by himself or with a pigeon friend, and is fairly ok with handling.
Stringfoot at this severity is often chronic and requires some level of ongoing care. ToeKing needs a loving home indoors with soft padded surfaces and someone who is willing to provide continuous care and monitoring to his feet as he is prone to bumblefoot and growing pressure sores due to the uneven distribution.

From there we will work with the adopter to find a bird that suits their lifestyle, and organise a meet and greet at our shelter. We offer continious support post-adoption and are always available for help or questions.
