Sweet Bun Bun – Looking for a Patient, Cat-Friendly Forever Home

Beautiful little Bun Bun is a gentle soul with a big heart and so much love waiting to be shared. She’s a sweet, playful girl who is still learning to trust people, but she’s making wonderful progress every day.

Bun Bun came to us from a shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list due to her extreme timidity. Rescued just in time, she’s now thriving in foster care with a dedicated foster dad and his friendly cat, Izzy. Having likely lived as a colony cat with little human contact in the past, she is very confident and affectionate with other cats, but still cautious around people.

In her foster home, Bun Bun has blossomed into a happy, active girl. She loves zooming around and playing with her foster brother Izzy, and the two have become the best of friends. While she’s happy to be near her foster dad and will relax in the same room with him, she is not yet comfortable with being touched or handled. With time, patience, and positive experiences, she continues to grow braver each day.

Bun Bun would do best in a calm, quiet home with an experienced cat owner who understands that building trust with her will be a gradual process — likely taking several months. A home with at least one other friendly, confident cat is essential, as she will lean on her feline companion for security while she learns to trust her new humans.

If you have the patience and love to help a sweet girl come out of her shell, Bun Bun has the potential to become a loving and affectionate companion. She’s already shown how much she enjoys the company of other cats, and with the right environment, she will truly flourish.

About Bun Bun:

Approximately 12 months old.
Desexed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Available for adoption right meow to the perfect home.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
