This breathtaking 18-month-old silver tabby is hands-down one of the most stunning cats you will ever meet, a true silver-haired beauty with the striking looks and mysterious allure of Rogue from the X-Men.

With her elegant tabby markings, shimmering coat, and captivating eyes, Bunyip turns every room into her own personal spotlight. She’s graceful, powerful in presence, and absolutely gorgeous… but like Rogue, she’s very much a “look but don’t touch” kind of lady.

We believe Bunyip was originally a colony cat living wild until she was caught and brough to a shelter, where she lived in a cage until she was able to be rescued. Sadly Bunyip was scheduled to be put to sleep due to her timidness around people but luckily one of our superheroes was able to free her and she's been living the good life in foster care ever since.

Bunyip has a gentle, loving soul and genuinely adores being part of the action. She’ll follow you from room to room like a devoted teammate, keeping a watchful eye on everything you do. She’s playful and fun, happily chasing balls you roll or dancing after wand toys with impressive agility. She shows her trust and affection in her own special way.

She’s not aloof; she’s affectionate on her terms, and her quiet companionship is incredibly endearing.

Just like Rogue, Bunyip thrives in a team. She absolutely loves other cats and lights up around her feline teammates. She’s happiest when she has cat companions to play with, groom, and share space with. A single-cat home simply won’t do for this X-Woman, she needs her own X-Men squad of cat-friendly feline housemates to truly shine. If you already have a harmonious group of cats, Bunyip would make the perfect addition to your merry band of mutants.

She absolutely adores her foster brother Izzy and the pair do absolutely everything together. You can actually see the displeasure on her face when Izzy goes for a visit elsewhere and Bunyip is left home alone.

Her early wild start in life left her with some Rogue-like powers of her own: she’s not comfortable with handling or petting. Even under the expert care of one of our superstar foster carers (think Professor Charles Xavier with his gift for reaching shy and special students), we haven’t been able to help her fully overcome her boundaries.

Try to touch her and she’ll give you the classic Rogue stink-eye, then gracefully retreat to a safe distance. She’s never aggressive, just very clear about her personal space, exactly like our favourite Southern belle with the absorption touch.

If you’re an experienced cat guardian who respects boundaries and already has other cats, Bunyip will reward you with her loyal presence, playful energy, and that undeniable beauty. She’s sweet, curious, and full of love, she just shows it by being near you and enjoying life alongside her team rather than on your lap.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
