About Angus
Meet Angus – Your New Best Mate in the Making
Angus is a happy, affectionate young pup with a playful heart, a curious nose, and a whole lot of love to give. Originally adopted from Karratha, this sweet boy bounced back into care when the resident dog found him a bit too "puppy"—which is fair, because Angus is a puppy through and through! But with the right people, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion.
Angus is already showing his best side in foster care. He’s inquisitive, enthusiastic about walks (especially the sniffy kind!), and more than happy to snooze on the couch or snuggle in bed with you at night. He’s a people dog—friendly with new visitors at home and often seeking cuddles the moment he meets you. Out and about, he’s a bit more cautious but warms up quickly and has been totally unfazed by traffic, city life, crowds, or noisy environments.
Though housetraining is still a work in progress—occasional excited or indoor wees—Angus is learning fast. He travels well in the car, doesn’t mind the vacuum cleaner, and sleeps peacefully whether he’s home alone for a few hours or curled up with you after a long day. He’s met other small dogs and, after a few minutes of polite caution, was happily playing with them. He also enjoys cafes and sitting by your side while watching the world go by.
His favourite things? Fluffy toys, tug-of-war, gentle wrestling, being tickled around the face while dozing off, and being brushed! Angus is the kind of dog who thrives on inclusion, and he’s more than ready to be part of your life. He’ll need regular daily exercise and training to keep his body and brain happy—he’s eager to learn, but still figuring out sit, stay, and all the basics. He’d love a home where people are home often, ready to include him in daily routines, and willing to set clear boundaries with consistent guidance.
Angus will likely grow to be medium to large in size, so his future family should be ready to handle a bit of strength on the lead and commit to his ongoing physical and mental needs. He’d do best with an active individual, couple, or family (older kids fine), but isn’t the right match for someone with mobility issues or looking for a more sedate companion.
In short? Angus is a cheerful, cuddly, curious little guy with huge potential. If you’re looking for a puppy who’ll grow into your best mate, Angus might be the one. Apply to meet him—you’ll fall in love.
