About Buster, the greyhound
If you are interested in Buster, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/kpSn4PdsS2Uc7gDt6
Let us introduce you to Buster! This young gentleman has it all - the looks; the charm; the personality; and the love!
Buster settled quickly in his foster home - he was born for the pet life. He is a faithful friend to all members of the foster family and the resident hound. He’s even been happy to share family life with the families indoor Guinea Pig!
He loves to go on walks and gets happily excited when he see’s the leash come out of the cupboard! His lead manners are excellent. There’s no pulling - he’s just happy to walk by your side, smelling the flowers and hedges as he goes. He is non reactive to dogs he meets, even small yappy ones who try to scare him with their barking! And if a passer by wants to stop and admire him with a pat, he’s happy to oblige. Traffic noise does not bother him either so he’s well suited to quiet suburbia or a busier, more bustling location.
Buster did not know his name when he first arrived in foster care, but now he comes instantly when you call him. He also knows the command “drop it” when he takes a fluffy slipper or a child’s toy……it’s sometimes confusing when these things look like the toys in your dog basket! He also knows the command “bed” and retreats to this space when you want to eat a TV dinner without a hound trying to get a whiff of what’s on your plate. He’s a quick and clever learner.
Buster sleeps in his own bed at night and holds his toileting very well. In fact, he mastered toilet training like a champ and lets his carers know when he needs to toilet by standing at the door to the garden and nudging the door handle!
He has alone time every week day (with the resident hound) whilst the family are at work and school and has had no issues with this. He enjoys a long lasting chew and a licky mat of peanut butter whilst everyone is away and he’s always excited to welcome them home with lots of happy affection - but he doesn’t jump up at people because he’s such a good boy!
Buster is very loving and affectionate and enjoys cuddles and pats. He likes to meet new visitors and shows everyone lots of love. He’s very hard to resist!
Could this special soul he be the hound for you?!
