Mama is a sweet, affectionate cat who loves being around people. She enjoys pats, scratches, and doesn’t mind being picked up (just not too often). She’s happiest when she can curl up on your lap while you watch TV or snuggle in bed for warmth and comfort.

Despite her small build, she has a big appetite and absolutely loves her food and although she may be 10 years old, she still has a playful side—especially when it comes to her favorite toys or a bit of catnip.

As she’s gotten older, Mama has become more sensitive and territorial around the other cats in the home. With five cats in the house, it became clear that a multi-cat home was no longer the right fit for her, so her owners made the tough decision to reach out to us to find her a new home.

We believe she would be much happier in a calm, single-pet household where she can truly relax and enjoy her golden years. But she comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.

If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate and very loving little companion then Mama may just be the cat for you. We believe she would be the perfect fit for a retiree or home body who likes to kick back and relax with a cuddly cat on their lap.

Mama is approximately 10 years old and has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
