This beautiful little lady is Tanya and she's on the lookout for her new forever home.

She was well loved by her previous owner but sadly with the arrival of a new baby they were struggling to give her the love she deserves so they made the tough decision to reach out to us to find her a new home.

She comes from a loving household and has a lot of love to give.

Tanya is a very sweet and loving little lady who loves human company. She is very affectionate and will rub against your feet and legs when she's in the mood for a pat, often belly flopping to the ground for chin and belly rubs.

Her hobbies include chasing her laser toy, eating, watching birds, making biscuits on fluffy surfaces and in summer she is also a professional fly hunter.

Tanya loves a pat and a scratch and enjoys a cuddle but isn't sure about being picked up. Her previous owner thinks this is due to her short legs and doesn’t like to be picked up for fear of not landing properly if dropped.

But she will definitely jump up on the couch or on your bed and have a cuddle, especially if you have a cozy surface for her to curl up on.

Tanya might take a day or two to settle into her new home but once that's done you'll find yourself with a confident and cuddly little lady on your hands. She is also great with greeting guests and will often come out and say hello, as long as they are not too loud.

She is enjoying being the only cat in her foster some so we think a retiree or home body who are looking for a cuddly companion would be the perfect fit. Although she is used to living with another cat and with her sweet nature we think she would also adapt quickly to a multi-pet household.

Tanya is approximately 4 years old and has been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.

A little about us:

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
