About Milo
Introducing Milo!
Milo is an Pug x Poodle born 17.11.23.
Milo was brought into the facility as a surrender as he is too energetic and playful for the owners elderly dog. His owners have just had a baby and he has become very protective and with the owner working they were struggling to meet his needs.
Milo has not had his behaviour assessment as yet as he has just arrived however his owner has completed a surrender profile stating;
* He is house trained
* He is obedience trained
* He is outgoing and confident
* He is not protective of his food
* He does travel well in the car
* Hasn't jumped fences but can dig
* He can be left alone without problems
* He is friendly with Children
* He is friendly with adults/strangers
* Unsure about cats
* He can be dog selective
* Can walk on a leash
* Never bitten/attack another animal
* Never bitten/attack a person
Being such a young dog he still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. Milo will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Based on what Milo's surrender form states being protective of the baby, we are recommending no kids under 12. Whilst we have not seen anything to give us concern, we do not have children at the facility to test with but we do know some dogs do not feel comfortable with young kids. Based on his owners profile we believe Milo would feel more comfortable being in an household with older hoomans for company.
Can you be his person/people?
Milo's adoption fee is $750 and includes his desexing & lifetime registration.
Milo is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
